Course Description

This course builds on the concepts of Web Programming introduced in previous courses, and aims to deepen students' understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. With a solid foundation in these languages, students are able to tackle more advanced challenges, such as layouts and games. Students will learn how to use custom events in JavaScript, dispatch them to other components on the webpage, and work with objects and classes.

The course also focuses on advanced animation techniques in CSS, including the creation of a status bar, a drop-down menu, and an image carousel. These exercises challenge students to apply their knowledge of CSS to create complex styles that work seamlessly across all browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. By learning how to make these styles work on all browsers, students gain a deeper understanding of how the Document Object Model (DOM) works, and how it is the browser's way of representing the rendered content.
