Course Description

This course is designed for beginners interested in programming and Minecraft, and it utilizes block-based programming to teach students how to create their own Minecraft mods. The course focuses on using the Mcreator software to create complex Minecraft mods with customized functionalities. The software's graphical interface makes it easy for students to design and create their own mods, allowing them to explore their creative imagination and build mods from scratch.

The course covers a range of topics, including implementing behavioral modifications of in-built entities and custom made ones, creating a series of events with custom commands, and making a collection of mods that depend on and interact with each other using block-based programming. These topics are introduced in a friendly manner, using block-based programming that is easy to learn and understand. Students will also learn about the different tools and features available in Mcreator, which they can use to design and develop their mods.

Throughout the course, students will have access to a range of resources, including tutorials, videos, and sample code. These resources will help them to develop their skills and knowledge in Minecraft mod development, and enable them to create a range of mods that are both functional and fun to use. By the end of the course, students will have the skills and knowledge required to create their own Minecraft mods, and they will be able to explore the endless possibilities of the Minecraft universe.

  1. Make their own custom mods on minecraft and debug them
  2. Modify entity behaviour using code
  3. Reason logically on how to implement a customisation using code
  4. Good grasp of structural programming in Minecraft Gaming
