Course Description

This course introduces students to a software that enables them to design and create their own Minecraft mods with unique graphical and behavioral features. The focus of this course is on creating advanced Minecraft mods using programming concepts. Students will learn how to code for the behavior of items, create events with custom commands, and develop a series of mods that interact with each other using blocks-based programming. The game-like environment of Minecraft provides an ideal platform for students to explore complex engineering concepts in an engaging and intuitive way.

The course covers a wide range of topics related to Minecraft modding, including the use of binary code, writing truth tables, and manipulating logic gates to create more complex gates. Students will apply this knowledge to create projects such as obstacle courses, timed traps, automatic secret doors, and other engineering-based structure designs. Through these projects, they will gain a deeper understanding of engineering concepts such as electrical circuits, logic gates, and signal flow. The course provides a practical and engaging way for students to learn about engineering and computer programming.

Overall, this course is designed to introduce students to the world of Minecraft modding and provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to create complex mods with specific functionalities. It is ideal for students who are interested in computer programming, engineering, or game design. By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of Minecraft modding, as well as the ability to apply programming and engineering concepts in a practical and creative way.
